"We are seeing a lot from our current community as well as from our partners, which helps us grow our product line," said Chris Burdick, Head of Programming at RunCode, in a statement.
"We do need to make sure we are running these events in a safe environment where we are always making sure to be able to get things done."
It's been a long road, but the Open Source community has been growing at a remarkable pace. For the first time since the Open Source community's founding in 2004, the Open Source community has seen its share of contributors increase—it was 1,828 in 2014.

A spokesman for the Center for Security Policy said the Center had been receiving at least $2.7 million in settlements for allegations of sexual harassment from the NSA contractor workers who worked on the project. The Justice Department's inspector general is probing whether the former Bush administration contractor was involved in an attempt to undermine whistleblowers in the investigation.
Under the government whistleblower lawsuit, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden claimed to have been sexually harassed by Bush.
Snowden's complaint, filed today, is the second to allege retaliation by Bush. The Justice Department said a similar complaint was made against former CIA contractor Bradley Manning.
"While the NSA's conduct at the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars is an ongoing and ongoing matter, the Department of Justice has taken no action to protect the whistleblowers who have worked, or are working, on behalf of the United States in the current administration," said a statement from the DOJ.
Snowden's complaint alleged that he was repeatedly harassed by Bush in 2009 and 2010. The Justice Department said it has found no evidence that Bush was involved in any of the harassment.
In the lawsuit, Snowden said in a phone call with a former intelligence analyst for the Bush administration that he was denied access to the NSA because of his age, political beliefs, and sexual orientation.
The DOJ also alleged that Bush was retaliated against for reporting for a documentary he had made about the Iraq war.
