Virgin Orbit is also working with private companies to develop

Virgin Orbit is also working with private companies to develop a test payload. The payload includes a solar-powered drone and a high-tech rocket that will launch from the ground at an altitude of around 600 kilometers.

”On Sunday, during a "captive-carry" test flight, Virgin Orbit performed similar tests on a modified 737 Boeing 767-200 that landed about 100 kilometers above the earth.

”The payload is expected to be ready for delivery to the United States on Tuesday,” Virgin Orbit said in a press release.

”Virgin Orbit is testing a modified 747 aircraft that will carry 21,000 pounds of payload to the International Space Station during the first two days of the Space Station's planned launch,” Virgin Orbit said. The test flight will take place in December, and Virgin Orbit plans to launch the rocket sometime after that time.

”On the day of the test flight, Virgin Orbit is providing customer customer service.

”The company is testing a modified 747 aircraft that will carry 19,200 pounds of payload to the International Space Station during the first two days of the Space Station's planned launch,” Virgin Orbit said in a press release.
