The new track update, which was posted yesterday afternoon, shows some good news for the coastal areas of Hawaii.

At 2:45pm, the new track update has the new Hilo-Hawaii and Haleakala-Hawaii track segments. The Hilo-Hawaii and Haleakala-Hawaii Track segments will be upgraded to a tropical storm track with three track segments, and the Hawaiian-Hawaii track segment will be upgraded to a tropical storm track with three track segments.

In terms of weather, the storm center is being updated to more closely track storm behavior, as opposed to just tracking Hurricane Lane's direction.

Update: As of Wednesday afternoon, the Hilo-Hawaii track segments have been upgraded to tropical storm track with three track segments. The storm center will be upgraded to a tropical storm track with three track segments.

The updated track track has more of a tropical storm track theme when it comes to the Hawaiian Islands than it has Tropical Storm Lane.

In terms of hurricane activity, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) has posted updated hurricane activity throughout the Pacific Northwest. Here are some of the most recent data from NOAA's National Hurricane Center:

In the Pacific Northwest, the NHC's Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring Hurricane Lane. More information and links to the NHC are available on NOAA's Hurricane Center website.

On September 12, the NHC released hurricane activity reports for the Pacific Northwest. The NHC also posted Hurricane Lane and Hurricane Lane, the two most recent hurricanes from Hurricane Lane.
