The Governor and his cabinet have said that the Michigan community would make a special effort to get Wells and his staff to testify.

In a statement, the Governor's Office of Public Health said,

"The Governor's Office of Public Health has a very strong commitment to the health and safety of all residents, including those in Flint. We work with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) to make sure Flint residents have access to health care and safe drinking water in their communities. Michigan is a world leader in clean water education and education in public health. We are committed to making sure that the residents of Flint have access to safe drinking water, and we will support them in doing so with support from the Governor and his Cabinet.

"In addition, we have invested in Flint Public Schools to ensure that they are fully equipped to provide a safe, efficient source of drinking water for residents. Our state has a unique public health relationship with Michigan and we recognize that both of these issues will need to be addressed.

"We are working with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) to ensure that both Flint Public Schools and the Flint Water Authority have the resources to address the Flint crisis and to ensure that our public health system is doing its part to protect residents' health."BENGALURU: In a landmark case, the Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the government to take legal action against companies and states who have not paid for certain projects, including the one that was sanctioned by the Gujarat regime for killing of two workers."This judgment of the High Court on the issue of the allocation of funds for the development of two-wheeler vehicles has been upheld on ground that there was no breach of the law," a bench headed by Justice (Retd) Chandrasekhar Singh said.The ruling, by the SC's bench headed by Justice (Retd) Raju Singh, said companies are required to pay for the development of their vehicles as per the law.In its judgment, the bench said the apex court has held that companies that have not paid for certain projects are liable under the state's Vehicle Maintenance and Development Act.The apex court had said that a project was not deemed as a public service for the purposes of the Act when it was sanctioned by Gujarat.The apex court, the highest court of India, had ordered the government to pay the two workers who were attacked in 2010 in a shop in the town of Vihar who were killed by two men, who had been charged with firing on them.
