That same week, in a statement, Windows Central reported that they had detected a single targeted attack against a number of senators and staffers, as well as the Senate's Active Directory Federation Services server.
In addition, Windows Central's cyber warfare team has previously reported that the attackers used an internal attack tool to "malign" members of the Senate and staff, and used that tool to "targets" members of the Senate and staff.

The lawsuit, filed in federal District Court in Tampa, was brought by the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, which is seeking to remove a Florida state law it says bars state government officials from making or distributing medical marijuana without a permit.
"We take this lawsuit very seriously and would seek to remove the state law from the books in Florida," said Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt Gollin.
Gollin said the lawsuit was filed after Florida voters passed the Measure 90 ballot initiative on June 3 to legalize recreational marijuana use. It had a wide margin of victory.
Gollin said Florida law does not prohibit any government entity from making or distributing marijuana.
Young is a co-founder of the group, Florida Cannabis Connection, based in South Florida, which opposes the law. He was charged in a federal trial for perjury in March.
Gollin said it was likely Young would be prosecuted under the state's law, which is based on the 2003 law that allows officials in Florida to take possession while working in the state. When you talk about the game of basketball, you talk about the game of basketball.
