Now, the Oasis and its predecessor, the Kindle Fire, seem to be selling well. And the Kindle Paperwhite has been a great way to get your hands dirty in the latest Kindle e-book market, because it's more compact than your typical paperback. But as the Kindle Fire has gone, the Kindle Paperwhite has been relegated to the role of a glorified tablet, with its sleek, $299 price tag and more than 50 million apps available for purchase.

But some people say that's just not fair to Amazon, and that's true. Many Amazon reviewers, especially a number of reviewers who haven't read the Kindle Paperwhite or the Kindle Fire, are pointing out the poor quality of the Kindle Paperwhite and its pricing. It's one of the most expensive e-book platforms (and even worse, it's already being sold to very small numbers of readers) in the Kindle e-book market. In fact, it has been going down in price for so long that it's actually not worth buying it for, say, $50.

Amazon's own Kindle sales are still the highest in the world, with a market share of 10 percent, according to the Kindle Group, and the Kindle Fire has been widely seen as a great value in the e-book world. But the Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Fire have been selling less overall. The Kindle Paperwhite came out to $249 from Amazon, and its average price is $199 for the Kindle Fire.

The Kindle Paperwhite is just as valuable for those who prefer portable e-books. But it also has a few other disadvantages: It's not as good as the Kindle Fire or the iPad Air. It's not a big-screen e-book reader, and if you want to read a lot of e-books, you'll need a much bigger screen.

But while you get the same amount of screen and e-reader content as you would most of the e-books Amazon sells, the Kindle Paperwhite is a bit more expensive. I've written before that the Kindle Paperwhite is a bad value for the Kindle Fire. But I think that's more true here because it's the cheapest Kindle in the world; the Kindle Paperwhite is a better e-reader than the Kindle Fire, and it has much less storage space.

And while it's not as good as the Kindle Fire that's been selling better, it's still a great value. As a whole, the Kindle Paperwhite is a good value for Amazon. It's
