Musk's announcement was met with mixed reactions from some, including some who were quick to dismiss Musk's comments. While Musk said he was a tech genius, "we need a big smart company to run these things. So we'll let you know what we think. I don't think it's going to happen. I think we'll get it done. But the fact that Musk made this announcement in the midst of the most heated debate in tech circles is a sign of how much the current climate of misinformation and misinformation has evolved in recent months.
