This article originally appeared on The VergeThe Canadian Forces has approved a $150-million project to develop the "New Vancouver" for use by police, police-community relations officers and city workers.
The $150-million project, called the "Super Vancouver," has been approved by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), according to a news release from the agency.
There is also an additional $100 million to be set aside to cover the cost of the $100-million project in Canada. The project will take three years to complete and should be complete by 2016.
"We are proud to have been appointed to this project and look forward to the completion in 2016 of this project," said Captain John Moore, commanding officer of Canada's Integrated Border Operations Forces.
The project is expected to cost $250 million.
The project is part of the "new-van-tours" initiative in Vancouver that is set to begin next year.
"The first phase of this project will be a six-month trial phase, which includes completion of two phases that have already been completed, three phases that will be completed in 2016 and four phases that will be completed in 2018," the news release reads.
There is also a $100 million fund to support the project.
"We are looking forward to the completion of this project and look forward to the completion of the rest of the project this year," said Capt. Moore.
The project will be funded under the Canadian Forces Economic and Cultural Strategy, which is a strategic plan to help the government improve the Canada of the future.Boris Johnson is expected to win the backing of the Tory leadership, despite being told he must resign as the party's leader by a number of parties.
"There's a lot of people who feel like this is a bad deal and want to leave. I've said this for some time but now I think we have to get on with it," said a Tory MP, who asked not to be named.
