"As the primary provider for Tesla's on-site clinics in Fremont, we are not an on-site provider of on-site clinics in the U.S.," said Dale Stokes, an Access Omnicare spokeswoman. "Our on-site facilities are operated under the terms of the federal Affordable Care Act, and therefore cannot be used to diagnose and treat injury in the workplace."

"Tesla has a zero tolerance policy regarding on-site surgical operations outside of its clinics," said Dr. Michael E. T. Johnson, a spokesperson for Tesla. "The hospital is a trusted contractor to Tesla. That means that we can provide care to both Tesla workers and the patients who are on-site."

Tesla has yet to provide any further information about its on-site clinics. In its statement, Access Omnicare confirmed that it has no on-site clinics anywhere in the U.S. "Tesla has not provided any information regarding on-site operations outside of its clinics, nor have we had any communication with Tesla related to on-site surgery in the U.S."

Tesla has not responded to a request for comment on the allegations.

"We want to be transparent with you regarding our on-site clinic practices," wrote Dr. David Levenson, CEO of Access Omnicare.

Access Omnicare said that it has no evidence that Tesla's on-site clinic practices are unethical or that the company is in any way complicit in the practices.

Access Omnicare said that it has always been a trusted contractor to Tesla. Tesla has never provided any information about its on-site clinic practices.

"We're not sure of our on-site clinic practices or whether they are related to Tesla's on-site clinic business," said Levenson. "We're looking at all the circumstances surrounding Tesla's on-site clinic practices."

Tesla's on-site clinic practices are not legal at its Fremont facility, which is owned by the manufacturer's General Motors subsidiary. Access Omnicare did not return phone calls and emails requesting further comment.

The company has not made any public statements on its on-site clinic practices.

Tesla is not currently providing medical services to the injured workers or the patients who are on-site.

"Tesla has not provided any information regarding on-site surgical procedures in the U.S.," Levenson said. "They have not been provided any information about on-site surgical procedures outside of their clinics."
