And in case you're wondering whether or not it's worth

And in case you're wondering whether or not it's worth taking the time to watch it yourself, watch it at home—at least for now. As Allison points out in his TED talk, it's just one of the many ways the scientific community has been able to get around the "tipping point" where researchers are beginning to realize the potential benefits they've already made. The film is also an excellent example of how technology can help scientists learn and grow faster than they could otherwise.

So while some might be tempted to think of Breakthrough as a kind of science communicator—a way to get to know the world around you, no matter how long-form or how deeply you're immersed—I highly recommend it, as it's an excellent way to learn about what it's like to be a biologist.

—MollyWhen I was young, I had no idea what the Bible could teach. The first day I got a copy of the Book of Mormon, which was a massive success. It made me feel alive. It led me to believe in God, and it led to my faith in the Lord. It taught me to be more humble, to follow His commandments. And when I was in my 20s, I began to think it was possible to live well, in a civilized society, in a place where people felt they were entitled to the same basic rights and privileges as the rest of us.

But then I started seeing some aspects of the world and saw a huge pushback on the idea that we couldn't live like the rest of us. There was a lot of talk about how we should change our behavior, or change our ways. But the main thing I saw was a world where we had to change our ways, and change what we believed in, whether it was our personal beliefs, our way of doing things, our beliefs in our religion or our social views.

I saw a lot of talk about the role of religion in our lives and how the way we live it changed. And it didn't seem like a great idea at first. But it was something we could have a conversation about.

What does religious beliefs tell us about the world?
