The device is powered by a Snapdragon 820 (MPL), an octa-core chip used in the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z4 Compact, and will offer a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a 3,400-pixel shooter, and an 8MP camera with f/1.8 aperture. The Xperia 1 will run on Android 4.5 KitKat (Nougat) and Android Lollipop.

The Xperia 2 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a 3,600-pixel shooter, and a 6MP camera. It also comes with a 5MP front-facing camera (though it has a 5 MP front-facing camera).
