In the case of the US, wind power was responsible

In the case of the US, wind power was responsible for the third best-performing state in the entire country in terms of electricity generation. And it's not just in the US. In the country, nearly half of all the electricity from wind power is coming from the South. This is a big deal, as wind power is very popular in Europe, and is also a major source of heat to homes. Wind power also contributes to an impressive 10 percent of the nation's electricity supply. And it's a lot more than wind, as it's the most effective source of energy in the US with a 20 percent share.

In fact, wind power is far more efficient for reducing emissions than coal. It's also cleaner than natural gas and gas, and much more efficient than wind, so it's also a lot better than coal, which can use up nearly 90 percent of the energy in the US. In fact, wind power is the third most efficient source of electricity in the US, and is also the only state with the highest percentage of wind power.

In the same vein, wind energy is also much less expensive than coal. The US has one of the lowest cost of generating power in the world, so it's no surprise it's a much less competitive power source. But that doesn't mean it isn't a good choice for low-cost renewables like solar, wind, and biomass.

Even with wind power, the US still relies on coal to power its entire grid, for which it has the second largest renewable energy reserves, behind only Norway. And it has also produced more energy into the atmosphere than any other nation, due to its vast, and sometimes volatile, history and high energy productivity. But that record has continued to grow. In 2012, the US created more coal-fired power plants than any other country in the world. And the share of coal-fired power plants in the US has grown to nearly 60 percent of total generation, with an additional 15 percent coming from wind, solar, biomass and other renewable sources.

But it's not all just power from wind. Wind is also a significant source of new energy sources. On a global scale, China is the world's biggest wind power producer. That's because China produces about 3.6 billion metric tons of wind power a year, according to the Global Wind Energy Institute. Wind generation grew more than 20 percent between 2010 and 2014, but is now projected to be the world's second-largest wind power producer in 2020.

And that's just the beginning
