In response to this post, Niantic released this update to fix the issue.
For the Android version, the message on the Niantic forums says, "You'll need to install MagiskManager to access the Magisk Manager app. Once installed, you'll also need to change your default settings. MagiskManager will not work with the default settings in the Magisk Manager app."
The Android version of Pokémon Go is currently in early alpha mode. But that means users should be able to play on the device after the initial launch by running the app through MagiskManager.
Update 5:13pm PT: Niantic is also reporting that the problem could be due to the fact that the app didn't respond to requests for help on an XDA forum. The former New York Rangers defenseman was one of the first players arrested by the New York City Police Department in the city's crackdown on prostitution. The former New York Rangers defenseman was one of the first players arrested by the New York City Police Department in the city's crackdown on prostitution.

Police said the NYPD and police obtained a warrant from one of the former New York Rangers defenseman's employers on Nov. 24, 2016, in which he was ordered to pay a $250 fine for having sex with another man, who was part of a prostitution ring that included three prostitutes in one apartment.
On Dec. 21, 2016, police charged the three prostitutes with one count of prostitution, the New York State Attorney General's Office said in a statement.
But they declined to say any further details on the charges.
Cops said the three prostitutes had arranged for sex in the building where she lived at the time of the arrest and in an apartment at the same address. The three prostitutes then paid her $100 to $200 a month if she paid them back for all three months.
