"For too long, New York City has been under pressure from taxi drivers to make their lives in New York City less expensive," said Tom Pomerantz, president and general manager of the guild's New York chapter.

The city does not currently have a minimum wage, but it is expected to come up with revenue in the next few years.

The city passed a minimum wage ordinance in 2001 that made it illegal for individuals to work for less than an hour, or more than one hour of the night. Drivers who worked more than two hours in a given shift would be subject to a $5 per hour wage.

But that was dropped to $13.50 a hour in 2000, but the city continues to raise the rate to $19.50.

New York also has an on-demand system in place to handle Uber, Lyft, and other drivers who wish to use it in their jobs.

"The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission is committed to getting drivers to get involved in a meaningful job and to get an increase in their pay so that they can earn the same earnings they are entitled to under current law," said Mayor Bill de Blasio.I'm in a position to say no, but I don't mind what the hell is going on, or anything else I might say. I think that the only time you can really do anything about it is when someone is trying to get you to do something you don't want. In the same way that many people get upset over the way the world treats you, I think it's a pretty good idea for the person who is trying to get you out of there in the first place to try to help, rather than to just try to be you.
