AT&T has been pushing a new standard for 5G, the XPRP 4G LTE that the company says is faster, less expensive, and more reliable. But AT&T is also planning to roll the same 4G LTE 4G LTE to the iPad and iPod touch in an effort to make 5G more affordable, and to support 5G devices on the iPad and iPod touch.
AT&T's 5G E will begin rolling out to Android devices in the near future, and there is no word yet on when a new version of iOS will be rolled out. And if you're an AT&T iPhone user, you should be fine.
Update, 4/25 4:10 p.m.: The Apple press release from AT&T is now live.
Correction, 4:40 p.m.: The original version of this story mischaracterized the number of iPhones that have 5G LTE, and that it now says that for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, the number of 4G LTE customers who upgraded to AT&T's 5G E network was 1,934.
UPDATE, 4:05 p.m.: We've updated the story to include the numbers for the U.S. and Canada.A woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by her husband and then threatened with physical violence in a video uploaded to YouTube has filed a criminal complaint with the Florida State Police.
The woman, who goes by the name "Mia" on her Facebook page, said she was attacked by her husband on Sunday at a party at the home of their two sons in downtown Miami.
The family had just finished their evening out when a male in a white minivan approached the car and pulled out an "assault rifle." The man was carrying a knife, she said, and told the woman he'd be shooting the mother if she didn't take the bait.
"We didn't expect to have to go through this," she told the Orlando Sentinel.
Police said the woman said she was sexually assaulted four times by her husband, Mike, in the hallway outside the house after they went to the party, when she said, "I didn't want to see his body, I didn't want to see him. I don't want to see who he was. So we just went upstairs and I took my clothes off, I just went downstairs and I got my jacket and went out. I walked out in my pants and was like, 'No,'" she said
